Visiting the Underground

Well Gregory,
Another week or more has gone by and lots *again* has happened.
You've FINALLY learned how to use a sippy cup *yay*!!
Yesterday you took about 4 steps - you were holding onto Dads tie as he was leaning over and you walked towards me! The confidence to let go is still not there but you are having a go every now and then. You will walk holding onto only one hand but not all the time.

Your latest thing is to cuddle up with your teddy bear(s). In the bottom picture you had woken and talked and by the time I got to your room you were asleep again!! Ah well!! hug those teddies! Speaking of teddies, we bought Bubba his/her own teddy yesterday. You thought he was quite cute and talked to the bear all the way across the bridge!!

We've finally opened up your own bank account and plan to put money in there every fortnight for you :o) Pretty lucky boy!! We went to the bank today to complete all the paperwork. Yay for Greggie!

On the weekend Dad caught up with an old school friend - Scott P. come and visit. He brought his girlfriend Sharna with him and we spent lots of time with them. They have only been back in Australia for 3 months after going on a few year trek/holiday overseas. They came over on Saturday afternoon and we ended up going out to the Milestone with them for dinner. You were quite well behaved :o) You even waved at Aunty Megs when you saw her there. After dinner you spent some time with Grandma and Grandad - Aunty Pam, Beaux and Great Gran were also there. Your Dad and I went out to the RSL with Sharna and Scott for a while.

Scott and Sharna had decided to go to the Wellington Caves on Sunday and we ended up going with them (or really they came with us coz we took our car). Aunty Megs and Makayla were going to come too but unfortunately Megs had to be back in time for work and we weren't sure if we would be or not.

We got out to the caves and had a small bite to eat before heading into the Phosphate mine. The guide said that you didn't have to wear a helmet as long as you were in the pram with the cover over you. Considering how tired you were and the new environment that you were in, you coped quite well.... the guide ended up letting us carry you even though you didn't have a helmet - we actually got to hear more of what she had to say then!!!
When we saw daylight at the end of the Mine Tour, Dad took you to the car where you both had a rest and listened to the cricket while Sharna, Scott and I went and had a look at the Japanese Gardens across the road. We hoped that you'd have a sleep but the rest was all you really needed. The Cathedral Cave Tour started and we (our group) were the only ones on the tour so it was quite good. Dad had to carry you as most of the tour was based on steps. You loved looking at the amazing formations. When the guide turned the lights off she gave you the torch to hold (turned on of course!) which you then turned off yourself! *silly goose!!* But thats ok because the lights came back on pretty quickly after that.
All the way back to Dubbo in the car you played with Sharna and her glasses... lucky because I fell asleep next to you!! lol

We had a lovely weekend all in all... Scott tried to take you home... but alas he didn't have a carseat for you ... and Dad went running after him saying "bring back that baby! You don't know where he's been!" lol!

(still have more to add but this has taken all day already so I'll finish it tomorrow.... *maybe*!! - when your fingers aren't trying to type too!!! lol)
Huggles
